Dental Assistant / Receptionist

About the role

Maven Dental Burnside, a general, restorative and implant dentistry practice in Burnside Village Shopping Centre, is looking for a friendly and motivated Dental Assistant/Receptionist on a full-time or part-time basis. The role is predominantly chairside, with occasional reception support, and training is provided even if you have no dental experience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance and exceptional patient care
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilise instruments in line with infection control standards
• Welcome patients and manage check-in and check-out
• Schedule appointments and recalls and manage phone enquiries
• Process payments, HICAPS claims and health fund enquiries
• Maintain accurate patient records and billing information
• Support the day-to-day running of the practice

Required profile

• No dental experience or formal qualifications needed; attitude, willingness to learn and interest in working with people matter most
• Ideally previous experience as a Dental Assistant and/or Receptionist
• Friendly, approachable manner and confidence communicating with different people
• Ability to work collaboratively, reliability and a proactive approach
• Willingness to learn new systems and follow clinical procedures
• Working With Children Check (WWCC), or willingness to obtain one
