Dental Assistant

About the role

Join the Oral Health team at EACH as a part‑time Dental Assistant, providing chairside support and promoting oral health education across Ferntree Gully and Ringwood clinics and outreach programs.

Key responsibilities

• Provide clinical assistance in line with public dental standards.
• Support oral health promotion and education for clients.
• Maintain infection control and sterilisation procedures.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of dentists, therapists and assistants.
• Communicate with clients and stakeholders with empathy and professionalism.

Required profile

• Certificate III/IV in Dental Assisting with recent practice.
• Experience in a range of dental procedures, ideally including public dental services.
• Sound knowledge of infection control guidelines.
• Intermediate IT skills and strong organisational ability.
• Commitment to inclusive, safe and respectful care.
