Demi Chef - Qantas Lounges by Accor

About the role

Qantas Lounges by Accor is seeking a Demi Chef to join its culinary team in a premium hospitality environment. Working alongside the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef, you will prepare and present high-quality dishes and develop your craft in a supportive setting. The position is full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present restaurant-quality dishes with consistency and attention to detail
• Support the day-to-day operations of a busy, professional kitchen
• Work across multiple sections and assist during peak service periods
• Maintain the highest standards of food safety, hygiene and workplace safety
• Assist with stock control, inventory management and reducing food waste
• Collaborate with the team to deliver outstanding guest experiences
• Keep the workstation clean, organised and efficient, and step in to support senior chefs when required

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Demi Chef or an experienced Commis Chef ready for the next step
• Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (preferred)
• Experience across kitchen sections including cold larder, pans and fryer
• Strong understanding of HACCP food safety principles and kitchen compliance
• Rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
