Kitchen Hand - Scullery (Qantas Lounge)

About the role

A full-time Kitchen Hand (scullery) is needed for the Qantas Lounges by Accor at Sydney Airport. It is a hands-on, busy role for someone who enjoys teamwork and keeping the kitchen running smoothly behind the scenes. The position is paid under the Hospitality Industry (General) Award.

Key responsibilities

• Wash dishes, glassware, pots, pans and kitchen equipment using industrial dishwashing machines.
• Clean and maintain dishwashing equipment and report any issues.
• Keep kitchen, preparation and scullery areas clean and hygienic.
• Ensure correct handling of chemicals and equipment.
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks when required.
• Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
• Work a rotating roster covering mornings, afternoons and weekends.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment.
• Preferred hospitality or hotel experience.
• Understanding of food safety requirements.
• Ability to work under pressure and attention to detail.
• Full working rights in Australia.
• Flexibility to work various rostered shifts, including mornings, afternoons and weekends.
