Delivery Lead, Financial Crime Analytics

About the role

As a Delivery Lead in the Financial Crime Data Analytics space at Suncorp Bank, you will steer the development and delivery of monitoring, detection and real‑time decisioning strategies across the bank’s financial crime systems. You will work closely with Compliance, Risk and Technology teams to embed robust analytics that protect the organisation and its customers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage financial crime detection solutions and real‑time fraud controls.
• Operationalise financial crime strategies, roadmaps and analytics initiatives.
• Enhance and optimise financial crime systems, analytics and reporting processes.
• Mentor and support the Financial Crime data analytics team while collaborating with Compliance, Risk and Technology stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement in detection and analytical strategies, ensuring high‑quality deliverables.

Required profile

• Proven experience in analytics, technical analysis or data science, preferably within a financial services fraud function.
• Strong communication skills for presenting risk positions and influencing stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Required skills

• Machine learning techniques.
• Data manipulation using SQL, R and Python.
• Data visualisation tools such as Tableau or PowerBI.
• Experience with discrete event detection on large, disparate data sets.
