Deals Accountant (Senior Manager)

About the role

PwC Australia is hiring a Deals Accountant (listed as Senior Manager) in its Advisory line of service, working on deals management for clients across M&A, capital financing and corporate strategy. The role could be based out of any of the PwC offices in Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver tailored, actionable financial insights and rigorous analysis to clients facing complex transactions and transformations
• Produce high-quality financial reports and data-driven analysis, and provide commercial insights and technical expertise
• Conduct financial investigations and prepare reports advising on business purchases, sales, mergers and capital financing
• Ensure accuracy and compliance of financial data
• Integrate emerging technologies and digital tools into client engagements
• Strengthen the brand in Deals and contribute to sector research and thought leadership
• Coach and mentor junior team members

Required profile

• Proven experience and solid financial technical skills in consulting, advisory or client-facing corporate environments within a Deals or transaction environment
• Postgraduate qualifications such as CA/CPA, CFA, MBA, Masters in Finance or Applied Finance are highly regarded
• Professional qualification in accounting, law, business, commerce or finance
• Good understanding of the Australian market, including corporate finance, capital markets, valuations, M&A and IPOs
• Ability to handle multiple projects at once and to write detailed, insightful reports

Required skills

• Integrated financial modelling, business and asset valuation, financial due diligence, cost and risk management, cash flow analysis
• Advanced Excel and strong business writing
• Excellent collaboration, verbal communication and coaching skills

What we offer

• The minimum salary for a Senior Associate in this role is AUD 89,000 including superannuation; higher grades earn more according to salary bands
