Data Engineer – Build Modern Data Foundations

About the role

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our growing data team and help deliver modern, scalable and secure enterprise data solutions. You will work with Microsoft Fabric and Power BI to enable reliable reporting, analytics and data‑driven decision‑making across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and support data solutions using Microsoft Fabric components such as OneLake, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Data Factory, Dataflows Gen2 and Semantic Models.
• Develop and maintain batch and near‑real‑time data pipelines from enterprise applications, APIs, databases, SaaS platforms and cloud storage.
• Create data transformations using SQL, Python and PySpark and implement Medallion Architecture across Bronze, Silver and Gold layers.
• Support the development and optimisation of Power BI datasets, dashboards and reporting solutions.
• Monitor and improve data quality, performance, reliability and security; maintain data lineage, documentation and technical standards.
• Provide operational support, troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis for data platform issues.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience working with Microsoft Fabric, Azure data services and modern cloud‑based data platforms.
• Knowledge of data governance, security, access controls and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
