Platform Engineer

About the role

As a Platform Engineer you will own the platforms, tools, and automation that underpin the engineering ecosystem. You will automate infrastructure, streamline deployments, improve observability, and build reliable release processes that enable development teams to deliver software quickly, safely, and consistently.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain automation for provisioning GCP and Kubernetes (GKE) environments end‑to‑end, reducing manual toil.
• Build and harden secure CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or GitLab CI/CD for rapid, repeatable container deployments.
• Create robust monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions in GCP/Kubernetes and lead structured incident response.
• Develop automated tooling for system and data migrations, moving legacy workloads to modern container platforms with minimal risk.
• Integrate core platform components such as API gateways, service meshes, event‑driven architectures, and messaging queues to enable reliable, decoupled services.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience managing and scaling cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform.
• Proven ability to design, build, and maintain end‑to‑end automation for GCP and Kubernetes environments.
• Experience operating in an AI‑assisted engineering environment using tools like Claude or GitHub Copilot.
• Demonstrated skill at breaking down ambiguous, multi‑system problems and solving them collaboratively.
