Data Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a Data Analyst to turn raw data into clear, actionable insights across multiple business units at CORTO, a fast‑growing LegalTech software company. You will work in a hybrid Sydney setting, writing SQL queries, building Python scripts and delivering reports that support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Write, optimise and maintain SQL queries to extract data from relational databases.
• Develop and run Python scripts (pandas, API/CSV handling) to clean, transform and analyse datasets.
• Produce regular and ad‑hoc reports for stakeholders across various business units.
• Partner with teams to understand reporting needs and translate business questions into data requirements.
• Validate data accuracy, investigate discrepancies and document queries and processes.
• Balance competing priorities and manage multiple stakeholder requests.

Required profile

• Mid‑level professional with solid hands‑on experience writing complex SQL (joins, aggregations, window functions, subqueries).
• Proficiency in Python for data work, including pandas and basic scripting with APIs or CSV/Excel files.
• Proven experience producing reports for business stakeholders, gathering requirements and presenting findings.
• Comfortable working across several business units or domains.
• Some exposure to SaaS environments is desirable.
