Cyber Security Engineer

About the role

As a Cyber Security Engineer at WA Primary Health Alliance, you will protect and strengthen the organisation's digital environment. Reporting to the Systems Engineering Lead, you will lead the management and continuous improvement of cyber, network and cloud security while ensuring compliance with ISO 27001.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, manage and enhance WAPHA's cyber, cloud and network security environments.
• Administer security technologies such as Palo Alto, Aruba, Cisco, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Purview, Tenable and endpoint protection platforms.
• Identify vulnerabilities, investigate threats and coordinate incident response.
• Maintain and continuously improve the Information Security Management System (ISMS) in line with ISO 27001.
• Develop, review and update security policies, procedures, risk registers and documentation.
• Lead initiatives including penetration testing, security reviews, remediation activities and compliance audits.
• Implement and manage Data Loss Prevention (DLP) controls and information protection measures.
• Collaborate with managed service providers, technology vendors and internal stakeholders to enhance security posture.
