Cyber Graduate Program 2027

About the role

McGrathNicol is seeking recent STEM or IT/Cyber graduates to join its Cyber Graduate Program in Melbourne and Sydney starting February 2027. You will rotate through multiple cyber service areas, gaining hands‑on experience on high‑profile client engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing cyber strategy and risk roadmaps for clients.
• Conduct digital forensics imaging and analysis on computers and mobile devices.
• Support eDiscovery processes, including data collection and large‑file processing.
• Participate in incident response and recovery activities for time‑critical cyber events.
• Help perform penetration testing, vulnerability assessments and other cyber defence tasks.

Required profile

• Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident.
• Final‑year or recent graduate of a STEM, Information Technology or Cyber‑related degree.
• Available to start full‑time work in February 2027.

Required skills

• Understanding of cyber security principles and risk management.
• Basic knowledge of digital forensics and incident response processes.
• Familiarity with eDiscovery and data handling in legal contexts.
• Awareness of penetration testing and vulnerability management concepts.
