Customer Service Representative

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Customer Service Representative to join HireRight’s Australian team in Lake Macquarie. You will work directly with clients and candidates, ensuring smooth and accurate background screening processes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service via phone, email and chat to external and internal enquiries.
• Resolve client and candidate queries throughout the background checking process.
• Explain background checking procedures and results to clients and candidates.
• Exercise judgment to solve problems, take ownership of correspondence and escalate when necessary.
• Collaborate with team members to share best practices and continuously improve service quality.

Required profile

• 3+ years experience in customer service, retail, sales or account management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
• Flexible availability for shifts between 8 am and 6 pm, Monday‑Friday.

Required skills

• Proficiency with standard computer software and navigating multiple software platforms.
