Customer Service Representative – Intermodal Logistics

About the role

Reporting to the Terminal Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for customers at our Wagga Wagga intermodal terminal. This operational role focuses on delivering exceptional service across all freight interactions, managing documentation, and coordinating bookings to ensure smooth freight movements.

Key responsibilities

• Handle customer enquiries via phone and email, providing timely and accurate information.
• Manage day‑to‑day booking requests and coordinate freight movements, updating internal systems.
• Liaise with rail terminals, port operators, shipping lines and freight forwarders to maintain service continuity.
• Prepare and verify documentation to meet operational and compliance standards.
• Identify and resolve issues proactively, communicating changes to minimise disruption.
• Support daily operational planning and coordinate communication between drivers, customers and internal teams.
• Maintain accurate system data and records for reporting and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Prior experience in customer service within logistics, transport or supply‑chain environments.
• Strong knowledge of containerised freight, rail operations or port processes.
• Understanding of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and NHVR compliance requirements.
• Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Experience using logistics systems such as TMS.
• Familiarity with freight tracking platforms.
