Customer Service Officer – Rotating Shifts

About the role

Cement Australia is looking for a proactive, customer-focused Customer Service Officer to join its Packaged Products team at the Naval Base facility. The role combines customer service, order management and delivery scheduling support, acting as the first point of contact for customers while working with drivers, logistics and operations teams. It is a rotating shift position: 5:30am-2:30pm and 7:30am-4:00pm.

Key responsibilities

• Manage inbound phone and email enquiries, process orders and provide delivery updates
• Support scheduling and coordination of customer deliveries with logistics teams and drivers
• Monitor orders and delivery progress, communicating delays, changes or availability issues proactively
• Resolve customer enquiries, order discrepancies and delivery issues accurately
• Liaise with transport, operations, sales and internal stakeholders to resolve operational challenges
• Maintain accurate customer and order information in internal systems, supporting reporting and administration
• Help with scheduling adjustments and identify ways to improve processes and efficiency

Required profile

• Previous experience in customer service, order processing, scheduling, logistics administration or a similar role
• Strong communication skills and confidence handling high volumes of phone and email enquiries
• Organised, detail-oriented and able to prioritise in a fast-paced environment
• Proactive, solutions-focused approach; previous transport, logistics, manufacturing or industrial experience is advantageous

Required skills

• Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel
• Experience with CRM, SAP or logistics systems is highly regarded
