Customer Service Officer

About the role

This position is an entry‑level customer service role within a Queensland‑owned service business. You will be one of the first points of contact for customers, providing friendly and efficient assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to incoming calls and handle customer account enquiries.
• Make outbound calls to follow up on customer matters.
• Manage and respond to email enquiries.
• Coordinate service connections and disconnections.
• Process customer payments.
• Liaise with billing and debt collection teams to resolve issues.
• Assist customers in accessing financial assistance programs.
• Provide general administrative and customer service support to the wider team.

Required profile

• Strong customer service skills and genuine enjoyment of helping people.
• Confident written and verbal communication.
• Friendly, professional and approachable manner.
• Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work well as part of a close‑knit team.

Required skills

• Good computer skills.
• Sound knowledge of MS Excel.
