Customer Service Officer

About the role

Join Cleanaway’s Customer Care team to deliver exceptional service to Commercial & Industrial and Municipal Council customers. As the first point of contact, you will help create positive experiences and support the company’s sustainability mission.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to inbound calls and emails with friendly, professional service.
• Coordinate service bookings and process customer requests accurately.
• Investigate and resolve enquiries and complaints, ensuring positive outcomes.
• Maintain up‑to‑date customer information using Salesforce and internal systems.
• Collaborate with operational teams to meet customer needs and build strong relationships.

Required profile

• Previous experience in customer service, contact centre or similar customer‑facing role.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and a confident phone manner.
• Strong problem‑solving ability, staying calm and solution‑focused under pressure.
• High attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Proactive, team‑first attitude with capacity to work independently.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems, specifically Salesforce.
