Customer Service Lead

About the role

Vulcan, Australasia's leading metals distributor, is seeking a Customer Service Lead to guide and develop its internal sales team while supporting external sales efforts.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership, guidance and mentoring to a small internal sales team and support the external sales team.
• Develop and coach the internal sales team, demonstrating commercial acumen.
• Establish, track and manage KPIs to enhance team performance.
• Lead internal sales functions to deliver market‑leading customer service and optimise processes for operational efficiency.
• Leverage data to produce reports on sales activities, customer interactions and team performance.

Required profile

• Proven success in a sales and/or customer service leadership role.
• Ability to define KPIs, coach team members and foster motivation.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset with focus on continuous process enhancement.
