Customer Field Technician - Logan

About the role

nbn is looking for a Customer Field Technician based in Logan, Brisbane, to join its internal workforce. This hands-on, customer-focused role helps connect homes and communities by completing a variety of tasks across different nbn technologies. Previous experience in telecommunications is not needed, as full training is provided.

Key responsibilities

• Work independently to complete installations, repairs, maintenance and customer support across nbn technologies.
• Install copper or fibre cabling and set up customer equipment.
• Identify and fix faults.
• Support customers in their homes or businesses, keeping them informed throughout the process.
• Follow safe work practices and nbn's safety procedures at all times.

Required profile

• Experience in trades or hands-on technical jobs such as plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, labouring, construction, mechanical work, hospitality or manufacturing is highly valued.
• Enjoys hands-on problem-solving and feels comfortable speaking with customers.
• Comfortable working independently and managing your own workload.
• Strong commitment to safety and clear communication skills.
• A current, clean driver's licence is essential.
• Full working rights in Australia; a criminal history check and pre-employment medical assessment are required.
