Customer Field Technician I Orange

About the role

nbn is recruiting a Customer Field Technician I in Orange, a hands-on, customer-focused role helping connect homes and communities. You will work independently to complete a range of tasks across different nbn technologies, including installations, repairs, maintenance and supporting customers in their homes or businesses. Working hours are between 7am and 7pm, with flexibility depending on business needs. This is a permanent, full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Install copper or fibre cabling and set up customer equipment
• Identify and fix faults
• Support customers in their homes or businesses
• Follow safe work practices and nbn's safety procedures at all times

Required profile

• No previous telecommunications experience needed; training is provided
• Background in a trade, trade assistant or field-based work is welcome, including apprentices; trades such as plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, labouring, construction or mechanical work are highly valued
• Enjoys hands-on problem-solving and communicating with customers
• Comfortable working independently and managing your own workload
• Strong commitment to safety and clear communication skills
• Current, clean driver's licence
• Full working rights in Australia
