Credit Controller

About the role

BlueRock is looking for a Credit Controller to join its Operations team, which supports the advisory divisions and includes finance, people and culture, marketing and IT professionals. The role sits in the finance function and works closely with entrepreneur customers.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor the credit team's KPIs (DSO, collection rate, aged debt, overdue %).
• Build and deliver aged debt, WIP/lockup, risk and trend reports for the executive leadership team.
• Set credit policy, escalation paths and recovery strategy, including payment plans, legal action and write-offs.
• Evaluate credit applications to assess the creditworthiness of customers.
• Maintain regular contact with clients by phone and help establish payment plans to improve compliance and satisfaction.
• Improve credit control frameworks and use technology to optimise debt collection.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience in a similar role, ideally in a commercial or professional services environment with multiple stakeholders.
• Previous experience with debtor reporting and analytics is a must-have.
• Team leadership and coaching experience.

Required skills

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Clear communication and the ability to explain complex financial issues simply and persuasively without being confrontational.
