Course Coordinator – Community Services

About the role

The Course Coordinator – Community Services will work closely with academic staff and stakeholders to ensure the Bachelor of Community Services program is engaging, industry‑relevant and compliant. The role supports curriculum quality, student success and academic governance.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and support delivery of the Community Services course, including assessment and academic operations.
• Provide guidance to academic staff to promote excellence in teaching and learning.
• Monitor student progress and contribute to initiatives that improve retention and engagement.
• Support curriculum review, enhancement and compliance with TEQSA and professional standards.
• Analyse course performance data to identify improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Qualification in Community Work, Social Welfare, Human Services, Social Work or related discipline at AQF level 9 or higher.
• Minimum three years full‑time industry experience in Community Services or related sector.
• Experience in higher‑education course coordination, academic leadership or program management.
• Knowledge of Higher Education Standards Framework, TEQSA requirements and The National Code 2018.

• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, analytical and organisational abilities.
• Current Paid Working with Children Check (WWCC).
