International Growth Strategy Lead (Education)

About the role

Canva is looking for an International Growth Strategy Lead for Education to shape and own the education growth vertical across all markets. You will set the operating model, define market priorities and embed Canva into teachers' and students' daily workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Own education as a growth vertical internationally – set strategy for market scaling, order and approach.
• Unify country education leads under a single international education strategy.
• Shift focus from one‑off training to activation and retention, making Canva a core workflow for educators.
• Prioritise and sequence market opportunities across APAC, LATAM, EMEA and beyond based on readiness, opportunity and impact.
• Integrate education marketing and content, designing hand‑off to Education Sales.
• Align Sales, Marketing, Product, Content and Partnerships around measurable education growth outcomes.
• Translate local market learnings into a scalable global playbook.
• Partner with and coach Country Education Leads and Country Managers to adapt the central strategy.

Required profile

• Experience owning growth for a function, vertical (ideally Education) or market at scale.
• Proven ability to build and scale a vertical or segment internationally, articulating growth levers.
• Mindset focused on activation, retention and habit formation.
• Capability to move from global strategy to classroom‑level execution.
• Credibility across K‑12 and higher‑ed contexts or rapid learning ability.
• Comfort navigating grassroots (teachers, schools) and strategic (partners, government) environments.
• Strong cross‑functional influence without direct authority.
• Curiosity, adaptability and enthusiasm for shaping an undefined playbook.
