Cost Controller

About the role

Nyrstar is looking for a Cost Controller to join its Asset Management team in Port Pirie, South Australia. The role manages financial information through accurate cost tracking, reporting and budget development, reporting to the Manager - Asset Management. It is a permanent position.

Key responsibilities

• Extract and develop cost reports from SAP
• Reconcile departmental spend data against cost tracking sheets
• Provide spending reports to Asset Management leaders
• Help develop the departmental budget
• Monitor high-cost purchase orders, monthly accruals and cost settlements
• Work with site Finance Teams to align financial management practices
• Resolve supplier payment issues with Procurement, Accounts Payable and Contractor Management Teams
• Carry out ad-hoc analyses and other administrative tasks as needed

Required profile

• Certificate in Finance (nice to have)
• Certificate in Administration (optional but desirable)
• Experience with SAP systems
• Strong financial management and data entry skills
• Meticulous attention to detail and good time management
• Ability to work independently and in a team, with strong stakeholder relationships
• Proactive problem solving and customer service focus
• Unrestricted right to work in Australia
