Cost Controller

About the role

Consilium Solutions is seeking a Cost Controller to join its Perth team, supporting a major critical minerals project. The role works closely with the Lead Cost & Contracts Administrator to manage project costs, ensure accurate reporting and maintain financial control across all project phases.

Key responsibilities

• Track and monitor project costs, including labour, materials, equipment and overheads.
• Collect and consolidate commitments, actuals, forecasts and progress data from contractors and input them into the cost management system.
• Ensure contractors submit progress claims on time and promptly raise any scope or schedule deviations.
• Assist with forecasting and cash‑flow planning to support project delivery.
• Prepare weekly and monthly cost reports for stakeholders, management and clients.
• Maintain accurate cost allocations within the cost management system in line with WBS/CBS structures.
• Provide general administrative and project support to the project team, internal stakeholders and clients as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years experience as a Cost Controller, including at least 2 years in Australia within construction or resources.
• Previous experience on construction or mining projects.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting or related discipline (advantageous).
• Full Australian working rights.
