Corporate Lawyer

About the role

Axiom is seeking experienced corporate lawyers to support clients on full‑time interim engagements, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, real estate transactions, and corporate governance. Candidates must be able to work a hybrid schedule in Sydney or Brisbane.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal support on M&A transactions, including due diligence, structuring, and drafting/negotiating key documents.
• Draft, review, and negotiate real estate documentation such as leases and sale‑purchase agreements.
• Prepare, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements (services, supply, vendor, confidentiality).
• Offer pragmatic legal advice on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters while managing legal risk.
• Liaise with and manage external counsel and advisors as required.

Required profile

• 5+ years post‑qualification experience advising on complex M&A transactions, including due diligence and drafting SPAs and shareholder agreements.
• Strong background in real estate transactions with experience drafting and negotiating leases and sale‑purchase agreements.
• Broad expertise in commercial contracts and ability to provide business‑focused legal advice.
• Proven ability to partner with internal stakeholders and manage external counsel in fast‑paced environments.
