Corporate Development Manager

About the role

Repurpose It is looking for an experienced Corporate Development Manager in Melbourne to assess, evaluate and execute growth opportunities, supporting key business decisions with commercial insight. Reporting to the General Manager, Corporate Investment & Group Reporting, you will lead acquisition and investment activities from opportunity assessment through to transaction execution. The role combines M&A execution, financial modelling, business valuation, investment analysis and strategic decision-making.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end mergers and acquisitions, including target assessment, due diligence and transaction execution.
• Develop and maintain advanced financial models to evaluate acquisitions, investments and strategic opportunities.
• Perform business valuations, scenario analysis and investment appraisals.
• Prepare business cases, investment papers and Board-level recommendations.
• Manage external advisors across financial, legal, tax and commercial due diligence.
• Monitor the Group's acquisition pipeline and strategic growth opportunities.
• Partner with senior leaders on capital investments and business performance initiatives, and support negotiations and transaction structuring.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Corporate Development, M&A, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, Transaction Services or Private Equity.
• Experience managing due diligence and transaction processes.
• Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills.
• Attention to detail and the ability to influence decisions with data-driven insights.
• Preferred: CA, CPA, CFA or equivalent; experience in infrastructure, industrial, construction, waste or environmental services; exposure to Board and executive reporting.

Required skills

• Advanced financial modelling and valuation, including DCF modelling.
• Investment analysis and business case development.
