Coordinator - Children's Services

About the role

MacDonnell Regional Council is recruiting a Coordinator for its Children's Services, based in Alice Springs. The position is a fixed-term full-time role until 30 June 2027, with the potential for extension, and pays a competitive starting salary of $101,850 per annum. About 75% of the work involves travel to and work in remote communities, including overnight stays, and relocation allowance may be available.

Required profile

• Diploma or equivalent experience in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• At least 3 years' experience in Early Childhood, including leadership roles.
• Experience supporting, training and developing capacity for remote community staff.
• Ability to work autonomously and independently, and to lead and support a team of educators and community staff.
• Current First Aid Certificate in an education and care setting, including CPR, anaphylaxis and asthma components.
• Current Australian driver's licence and ability to complete 4WD training.
• NT Working with Children (Ochre) card or ability to obtain one, and a satisfactory criminal history check.
