Cook / Food Service Assistant (Part Time)

About the role

Estia Health is looking for a Cook / Food Service Assistant for its Albany Creek facility. You will help create a home that residents love by delivering service standards of the highest level and preparing fresh, wholesome meals tailored to individual needs. The Cook works the Thursday shift (06:00-14:30), with the option later to pick up additional shifts as a Food Service Assistant.

Key responsibilities

• Work alongside the Chef to assist with kitchen management
• Tailor meals to meet individual needs and preferences
• Provide residents with healthy, nutritious and delicious meals
• Support the wider kitchen team to deliver a memorable dining experience

Required profile

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
• Some experience in a commercial kitchen (aged care highly regarded)
• A good amount of experience with a broad range of cuisines and dietary requirements, responding to the social, spiritual and cultural needs of residents
• Great communication and documentation skills
