Consumer Data Insights (Fixed Term)

About the role

This 12‑month fixed‑term position supports maternity cover and offers the chance to make an immediate impact by partnering with clients to turn data into actionable business insights. You will work closely with NielsenIQ colleagues and client teams to understand brand performance and recommend growth strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Understand clients' marketing and sales strategies, business problems and growth opportunities.
• Define business issues, prepare project briefings and develop hypotheses for analysis.
• Deliver meaningful insights with actionable recommendations based on NielsenIQ analytical commitments.
• Manage client expectations, align timelines, milestones and outcomes.
• Share strategic thought leadership on FMCG trends and consumer behaviour.
• Act as an expert on topics such as pricing, promotion, range and innovation.
• Support account development through consultative selling and help secure contract renewals.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary education (business, marketing, statistics, etc.) and/or 1‑2 years experience in FMCG, marketing, research or a similar industry.
• Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain a high say/do ratio while working in a high‑performing team.
• Awareness of market conditions and the client business environment.
