Consultant - Mergers and Acquisitions

About the role

EY-Parthenon's M&A Lead Advisory team in its Tarndanya Adelaide office is looking for a Consultant. The team gives strategic and tactical advice to privately owned, publicly listed and private equity clients through all stages of a sale or purchase of a business or asset, or a capital raising process. The role is full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in all stages of the transaction, from deal origination to completion, including preparing marketing materials, bidder research, valuation analysis and coordinating due diligence.
• Prepare industry research and market mapping to help identify potential new clients or targets for private equity and corporate buyers.
• Help build and analyse financial models and investor presentations.
• Build client relationships and engage with transaction stakeholders and advisers.

Required profile

• 6 months to 1 year of post-graduate work experience; transferable skills are accepted if experience is not directly related to M&A.
• Bachelor degree in accounting, commerce, finance or law.
• Strong numeracy and written and verbal communication skills.
• Positive attitude, curiosity to learn and ability to manage several tasks at once.

Required skills

• Good interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
