Consultant – Asset Management (Permanent)

About the role

We are seeking a Consultant – Asset Management to join the Department of Local Government, Industry Regulation and Safety in East Perth. The role will lead a small team responsible for the day‑to‑day delivery of facilities contracts, projects and fleet management, supporting the department’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a small team delivering facilities contracts, project work and fleet services.
• Research and analyse asset‑related issues to identify trends and inform strategic asset‑management solutions.
• Develop and implement innovative solutions aligned with whole‑of‑government and departmental objectives.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including government office accommodation programmes.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and promote transparency and fairness in asset management.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing small teams within asset, facilities or fleet environments.
• Strong analytical abilities to research issues and develop strategic recommendations.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with both internal and external parties.
• Understanding of government or public‑sector asset‑management frameworks.
