Construction Manager – Civil Infrastructure

About the role

The Construction Manager will lead site‑based delivery of high‑value civil infrastructure projects for CMC, a Tier 2 Australian contractor. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will coordinate construction activities to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with program, budget, quality and contractual requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide construction delivery leadership and oversee program and workfront coordination.
• Manage resources, workforce planning and on‑site safety initiatives.
• Ensure quality, compliance and commercial cost awareness throughout the project.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and client/stakeholder engagement.
• Develop and mentor the construction team, fostering strong leadership and teamwork.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent.
• 10+ years’ experience delivering large, complex civil infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to manage multiple project teams across different locations.
• Strong technical, commercial and contractual acumen.
• Deep knowledge of WHS, environmental and quality compliance.
• Desirable: RPEQ or CPEng accreditation, business/leadership qualifications, experience with collaborative contracts (ECI, D&C, Alliances), familiarity with ISO‑certified systems.
