About the role
Join AIG’s Business Package team as a Complex Claims Examiner, managing a portfolio of SME Property and Casualty claims. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver efficient, cost‑effective claim resolutions.
Key responsibilities
- Manage 120‑160 complex SME Property and Casualty claims, ensuring proactive and high‑quality service.
- Determine indemnity, liability and quantum early to drive claims to finalisation.
- Oversee external service providers to achieve cost‑effective outcomes and compliance.
- Build and maintain relationships with brokers, customers and internal teams.
Required profile
- Experience as a Liability and/or Property Claims examiner or a junior lawyer in private practice seeking an insurer role.
- Strong communication, problem‑solving and strategic planning abilities.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
- Full‑time working rights in Australia (no sponsorship).
Required skills
- Knowledge of property and casualty claim processes.
- Understanding of commercial relationships with brokers and customers.
