Compassionate Teacher Aide for Junior Primary

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teacher Aide to support our teaching staff and students in the classroom, primarily with Junior Primary classes. This part‑time role (60 hours per fortnight) begins in Term 4 2026 and contributes to a positive, nurturing learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support classroom teachers in delivering lessons and assisting students with learning activities.
• Work with small groups or individual students requiring additional support.
• Help maintain a safe, orderly, and nurturing classroom environment.
• Assist with classroom preparation, resource organisation, and administrative tasks.
• Support students’ social, emotional, and spiritual development in line with the school’s Christian values.
• Supervise students during breaks, activities, and excursions as required.

Required profile

• A passion for working with children in a Christian educational setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and students.
• Current Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain).
• Commitment to upholding the Christian ethos and values of the school.
