Community Support Worker - Mosman

About the role

A recruitment agency is offering Community Support Workers the chance to work in the Mosman area of Sydney and nearby suburbs. The role suits people starting a career as a Support Worker who want to grow and upskill within the business.

Key responsibilities

• Assist a high-care-needs client with personal care, hoisting, manual handling and domestic assistance, across day and overnight weekday shifts.
• Help community clients with social support, transport to appointments, shopping and community outings.
• Provide personal care with dignity and respect, such as helping with showering, grooming and dressing.
• Support clients to stay in their own homes by helping with meal preparation, cleaning and companionship.

Required profile

• A passionate, caring and empathetic personality is essential.
• Willingness to learn new skills on the job through training.
• Certificate III or IV in Community, Aged Care, Disability or equivalent is highly desirable; experience in aged care or community is also highly desirable.
• Valid driver's licence and own vehicle are mandatory.
• Current First Aid certificate, Police Check and NDIS Worker screening check are mandatory, or willingness to obtain them.
