Community Occupational Therapist

About the role

Independent Rehabilitation Services is recruiting an Occupational Therapist for its community neurology service, supporting adults with neurological conditions from hospital discharge through to many years later. The role is based in the Carnegie and Werribee offices and is open to permanent full-time and part-time positions.

Key responsibilities

• Support clients with neurological conditions such as traumatic brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury and progressive neurological conditions, helping them maximise independence and participation at home and in the community.
• Work with clients, their families, supports, the multidisciplinary team and external providers such as TAC, NDIS, hospitals and equipment suppliers to meet client goals.
• Use an evidence-based approach, with autonomy over caseload and scheduling, and the option to work from home or the offices.

Required profile

• AHPRA registered or eligible for registration as an Occupational Therapist.
• Experience working with clients with neurological conditions.
• Current driver's licence and a suitable vehicle.
• Self-motivated lifelong learner seeking growth, and looking for an inclusive, supportive workplace.

What we offer

• Salary of $80,000 - $110,000 plus 12% superannuation, 5 weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading and travel remuneration.
• Laptop and phone, 5 days of PD leave and 5 weeks of annual leave (pro rata).
