Community Lead

About the role

The Community Lead will drive growth, engagement and reputation for Splend within the Australian rideshare driver community. You will design and execute community‑led marketing initiatives, high‑impact events, strategic partnerships and organic social content that boost brand awareness, driver acquisition and ongoing engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Own Splend's national events strategy end‑to‑end, set the vision, build the playbook and use data to continuously improve each event.
• Plan and deliver 2‑4 online and offline events per month across Australia, handling communications, invitations, budgets, suppliers and venue logistics.
• Execute events on the ground, including setup, speaker briefings and real‑time problem solving.
• Build strategic partnerships with platform providers, automotive brands and other industry players.
• Develop and manage community and content strategy across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Reddit and YouTube.
• Create scalable playbooks and reporting systems for events, partnerships and social activities.
• Provide data‑backed recommendations to leadership to enhance performance.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in marketing or events, with a proven record of leading events from concept to execution.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong stakeholder management with internal leaders, external partners and suppliers.
• Experience managing six‑figure budgets and overseeing external vendors end‑to‑end.
• Deep understanding of organic social media strategy and community building.
• Willingness to travel interstate 1‑2 times per month.
