Community & Ecosystem Intern (Venture / Investment)

About the role

Australiance's client is a growing investment and venture platform working with founders, investors and the wider startup ecosystem, supporting capital raising, investor engagement and community building. This internship sits at the intersection of venture capital, startups and investor networks, and suits students interested in venture capital and the startup ecosystem. It is a 6-month internship, part-time (about 3 days per week) or full-time, with a start date as soon as possible.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with founders, investors, venture funds and partners, and support outreach and relationship-building within the startup and investment community
• Coordinate communications with ecosystem partners and community members
• Support planning of industry events, roundtables and community initiatives, including invitations, logistics and follow-ups; attend selected events
• Draft updates for LinkedIn, newsletters and community communications, and help prepare event announcements and partnership updates
• Maintain community engagement trackers and contact databases, and organise community and partnership initiatives
• Support internal coordination across the team

Required profile

• Final-year student or recent graduate in business, commerce, finance or a related field
• Strong written communication skills in clear, professional English
• Organised, proactive and confident interacting with founders, investors and professionals
• Interest in venture capital, startups or the investment ecosystem
• Comfortable in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment

Nice to have: involvement in student societies, events or community organisations, and exposure to startup or investment environments. The role is best suited to candidates interested in the venture ecosystem and community building rather than purely marketing-focused roles.
