Assistant Manager - Business Banking

About the role

ANZ is hiring an Assistant Manager in its Business & Private Bank division, based in Sydney (Level 9, 242 Pitt Street). The role supports the Relationship Manager in growing business, deepening client relationships and keeping a high-quality portfolio. It is a permanent, full-time position of 40 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Support Relationship Managers in managing and growing a portfolio of business customers.
• Identify new business opportunities and help acquire new clients.
• Analyse customers to find cross-sell and upsell opportunities across banking products and services.
• Work with product specialists to deliver tailored financial solutions.
• Review customer portfolios, monitor account performance and ensure compliance with credit and risk policies.
• Prepare credit applications, customer reviews, reports and documentation.
• Build and maintain client relationships through regular engagement and service support.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve customer queries and deliver a seamless experience.

Required profile

• Ideally strong relationship management and customer engagement skills.
• Ability to identify business development and sales opportunities.
• Knowledge of business banking products, credit processes and risk management principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work with relationship managers, product partners and support teams.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
