Communications Executive – Multi‑disciplinary Role

About the role

We are seeking a Communications Executive to join our team supporting Standards Australia, the nation’s leading independent standards organisation. In this role you will help shape storytelling across policy, innovation, sustainability and technology, influencing how Australians live and work.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate communications and materials for strategic engagement events, committee forums and major milestones involving government, industry and international bodies.
• Assist daily client management by preparing agendas, dashboards and coverage reports that demonstrate impact and reach.
• Build and maintain relationships with industry, technology and mainstream media while monitoring the news cycle for reactive PR opportunities.
• Support the planning and execution of multi‑disciplinary communication strategies that blend PR, content marketing and digital tactics.
• Draft a wide range of engaging materials, including press releases, media pitches, articles, case studies, social media copy and stakeholder newsletters.
• Collaborate with internal design, digital and strategy teams to ensure creative assets and campaigns are delivered flawlessly and on time.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in communications, PR or content‑focused roles (agency experience valued).
• Multi‑disciplinary mindset with an understanding of how PR, content and digital work together.
• Exceptional storytelling and writing abilities.
• Curious and adaptable, eager to learn about new industries and handle shifting priorities.
• Collaborative spirit thriving in team‑oriented environments.
