Communications and Member Engagement Coordinator

About the role

The Communications and Member Engagement Coordinator will strengthen engagement across GI Cancer Trials’ volunteer network of researchers and clinical professionals while supporting communications initiatives that grow the brand and connect with the wider community.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a warm, approachable first point of contact for members.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, engagement and retention of members.
• Create engaging content for emails, website, social media and member communications.
• Assist in producing the monthly member newsletter and contribute to the annual communications plan.
• Support communications and promotion for member events such as the Annual Scientific Meeting, Preceptorship, Idea Generation Workshop and AGM.
• Maintain accurate membership records, track event attendance and report on engagement, sentiment and feedback.
• Coordinate member surveys and support analytics and reporting processes.
• Build strong relationships with members and identify opportunities to enhance participation, connection and recognition.

Required profile

• Natural relationship‑builder with strong communications instincts and excellent attention to detail.
• Warm, proactive, collaborative and able to manage competing priorities.
• Background in communications, member/community engagement, marketing or not‑for‑profit sectors.
• Confident in creating content, coordinating activities and using data to improve outcomes.
