Communication Assistant – Healthcare

About the role

Icon Oncology Group, part of Icon Group, is looking for a Communication Assistant to join its marketing and communications team at the Head Office in South Brisbane. This is a permanent full-time position with a hybrid work arrangement and flexible options. The role supports internal and external campaigns, media releases, events and reputation-building activities, and offers mentoring and career progression.

Key responsibilities

• Create clear, accurate and engaging content aligned with the brand identity and strategic communication goals.
• Contribute to digital campaigns, including corporate communications, news articles, social media posts and presentation support.
• Support reporting and data analysis, brief design work and campaign assets, and handle other operational communication tasks.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in communications, PR or a related field.
• Demonstrated creativity and strategy in communications.
• About 12 months of relevant internship experience if you are a recent graduate.
• Permanent Australian working rights.
• Previous experience in private healthcare or professional services in a corporate environment is an added bonus.
