Commercial Recruitment Consultant

About the role

Aquent is looking for a commercially minded person to join its Australian business and help build a market from the ground up. The role is described as a 360-degree commercial position covering business development, relationship building, talent and recruitment. It is open to graduates and professionals from other fields; prior recruitment experience is not required.

Key responsibilities

• Spot opportunities before they become job vacancies and turn them into conversations, relationships, opportunities and revenue.
• Find candidates, interview them, advise clients, negotiate and close placements.
• Grow client accounts.

Required profile

• University degree with a strong academic record; degrees in law, commerce, education, arts, economics, business, psychology, marketing, technology, engineering or others are welcome.
• Background in sales, consulting, professional services, account management, customer success or another commercial career, or as an outstanding graduate.
• Smart, curious, competitive, resilient, commercial, personable and driven.
• Wants performance directly linked to earnings and backs themselves.
• No recruitment experience needed; candidates whose main career has been in recruitment are not the target.
