Commercial Manager (Client Representative) - Transport Infrastructure

About the role

A fast-growing infrastructure advisory business is looking for a Commercial Manager to act as client representative on a major transport infrastructure project in Brisbane. The role sits close to decisions on commercial strategy, contractor relationships, risk, performance and handover, and involves leading a commercial team and a productive relationship with the delivery partner. It is offered as either a contract or permanent full-time position, with hybrid working.

Key responsibilities

• Lead commercial and contract management activities across the project
• Manage variations, claims, provisional sums and contractual negotiations
• Drive forecasting, cost management and commercial reporting
• Oversee contractor performance, risk management and dispute resolution
• Ensure compliance with governance, contractual frameworks and commercial processes
• Partner with project delivery, finance, legal, procurement and project controls teams
• Lead and develop a high-performing commercial team

Required profile

• Significant experience in commercial or contract management on major infrastructure, rail, construction or transport projects
• Proven leadership experience managing commercial teams and contractor relationships
• Relevant tertiary qualification in Commerce, Law, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline

The advertised pay is $280k-$300k plus superannuation.
