Commercial Finance Analyst

About the role

As a Commercial Finance Analyst you will provide commercial and financial support across VMCH’s aged‑care businesses, delivering robust analysis, financial modelling and clear insights to drive better business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare budgets, forecasts, financial models and analysis for residential aged care and Care At Home services.
• Analyse regulatory reform, funding changes, financial trends and sector performance to identify risks and opportunities.
• Partner with finance, operational teams and senior stakeholders to provide commercial insights for decision‑making.
• Develop meaningful reporting and financial insights from complex business data.
• Provide commercial analysis for strategic initiatives, business cases, major expenditures, developments and M&A activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Business (Commerce) or equivalent qualification.
• CPA, CA, CFA, MBA or relevant Master’s qualification, or currently working towards one.
• Minimum 3–5+ years of experience in commercial finance, financial modelling, project evaluation or M&A assessment.
• Strong interpersonal and influencing skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel skills with experience analysing complex data and creating data visualisations.
