Commercial Contract Manager

About the role

CAE is seeking a Commercial Contract Manager to join its Legal, Contracts and Commercial Team, based in Homebush, NSW or Brisbane, QLD. The role sits in the Customer Contracts team and is responsible for contract management, governance and control, including configuration management of the contract and related Contract Data and Requirements List (CDRL) items. It is the first point of contact for contractual issues such as disputes, interpretation, flow-down requirements to subcontractors and commercial risk mitigation.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Program Manager in the day-to-day management of the contract.
• Manage and maintain the Document Management System, including configuration management of the contract.
• Own and manage Contract Change Proposals and Survey & Quotes, and ensure quotations are generated in line with the contract.
• Develop and administer CDRL items.
• Manage subcontractor and supplier relationships and ensure CAE's export control obligations are met.
• Draft, guide and recommend actions to the Program Manager and Business, and support the Business with new opportunities and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in contract management.
• Proven track record in contract management within a matrix and project environment.
• Experience with ASDEFCON, ideally in acquisition and support environments.
• Sound experience in commercial management.
• Experience in legal or business disciplines (ideal).
• Eligibility for SECRET (NV1) level Defence security clearance, and preferably already holding a current one.
