Coach Driver - Rail (Coober Pedy)

About the role

Journey Beyond is looking for experienced Coach Drivers to support its Expedition Ghan season, based in Coober Pedy from April to November, and in Victoria from December to March (Stawell, Grampians, Inverleigh, Golden Plains and Melbourne). The driver is responsible for the complete operation and safety of the coach during off-train excursions, working a roster of 5 days on, 2 off.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver a high standard of customer service to all passengers
• Comply with company and department safety policies and procedures
• Ensure the safety of yourself, passengers and the vehicle
• Run interactive and engaging day tours for guests
• Clean and maintain the coach inside and out, and help clean other coaches for the next day's tours
• Manage time well, carry out pre-departure safety checks and occasionally perform minor mechanical repairs

Required profile

• Current HR driver's licence and South Australian driver accreditation
• Working with Children (Employment) clearance
• Current Senior First Aid certificate, or ability to obtain one
• Satisfactory national criminal history check
• Demonstrated coach driving experience
• Outstanding safety focus, including basic fatigue management and fitness for duty
• Experience delivering excellent customer service
