Cloud & DevOps Engineer (Kubernetes, Security Clearance)

About the role

A leading global technology organisation is recruiting a Cloud & DevOps Engineer to design, automate and support modern cloud and container platforms. Working with security, operations and engineering teams, the role contributes to scalable, reliable infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code, Kubernetes, CI/CD and cloud automation. It is open to candidates based in Sydney, Melbourne or Canberra.

Key responsibilities

• Build and automate cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code
• Deploy and support Kubernetes-based platforms and containerised applications
• Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery
• Monitor platform health, performance and availability
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment and platform issues
• Implement security, compliance and DevSecOps practices
• Collaborate with development, operations and security teams to deliver reliable technology solutions

Required profile

• Experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, platform engineering or automation
• Active security clearance; Australian citizenship is required because of the secure nature of the role
• Strong troubleshooting, communication and collaboration skills

Required skills

• Kubernetes and container technologies such as Docker
• Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi or CloudFormation
• CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI or Argo CD
• Scripting in Python, Bash or similar languages
• Exposure to AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform
