Clinical Pharmacist – Hospital Pharmacy (Full/Part Time)

About the role

Join Slade Pharmacy’s Tennyson team in Kurralta Park to provide comprehensive clinical pharmacy services for Icon Cancer Care Hospital. This full‑time or part‑time fixed‑term position offers exposure to oncology, specialised access schemes and a multidisciplinary environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct medication chart reviews and medication reconciliation for in‑patients and day‑infusion services.
• Coordinate patient medication requirements during admission, infusion and discharge.
• Manufacture and compound aseptic cytotoxic products and non‑hazardous prescriptions, including sterile cleaning processes.
• Provide drug selection advice, counsel patients on medication use, and verify prescriptions dispensed by technicians.
• Dispense and supply medications, perform ward collection and delivery rounds.
• Educate staff, patients and carers on health promotion and medicine use.
• Participate in departmental quality and research activities.

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration as a pharmacist.
• Previous experience in an Australian or New Zealand pharmacy.
• Strong knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS).
• Excellent time‑management, communication and teamwork abilities.
• Commitment to lifelong learning and high attention to detail.
• Hospital experience not required – structured training will be provided.
