Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 – Mental Health Inpatient

About the role

We are seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist (Grade 2) to deliver advanced, person‑centred nursing care for mental health inpatients at Kenmore Hospital in Goulburn. In this role you will apply best‑practice evidence, provide clinical leadership and support multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide specialist nursing care at an advanced practice level for mental health inpatients.
• Utilise evidence‑based practice to develop and implement person‑centred care plans.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary health‑care team to ensure coordinated treatment.
• Offer clinical leadership, mentorship and supervision to less‑experienced clinicians.
• Drive quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of nursing specialty practice.

Required profile

• Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
• Post‑registration qualification in mental health and at least three years of relevant clinical experience.
• Demonstrated ability to make autonomous clinical decisions and lead within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and proficiency with information‑technology tools.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and quality improvement.
